I love everything about Music, Marketing, the Internet,
Promotion, and Education. All of the projects I am involved with contain
any of the above. |

I've been making music for over 20 years, and enjoy networking
with Muscians from all over the globe. I created The
Musicians Cooler "Where Musicians Trade Advice"
a newsletter with over 800 subscribers, and in September of 2004
started producing his newsletter in Audio format (this later would
be dubbed a "Podcast").
I still published my newsletter
and podcast.
I had recorded a CD and was investigating
where to sell it. Consequently, I started to network with musicians
and trade insights. Everyone said "Dave you should write a
book," so I did. The result "Get
your band out of the basement (and keep them out of the asylum)"
has been enjoyed by all who have purchased it. My stories (both
good and bad) of starting bands, marketing bands, have helped the
readers to be more successfull and efficient.

Disgusted by the amount of money people
were charging to build a website, I started "Cooler
Websites" (originally I had a tag line of "Web Design
with the Musician in Mind). I knew that in today's world an Artist
needs a web site to build their fan base. I took my 15 years
of computer experience and started building quick loading, professional,
websites for my clients. I've never advertised, and I get most of
my clients through word of mouth. It's easy; I listen to what they
want, and give them what they need. Too many people are buying more
technology that they will never use. They also get roped into long
term contracts with people who are getting paid to do nothing. That's
just not right, so I jumped in to help educate, and work with those
new to the Internet, and getting a website. I even wrote a free book
"Look before leaping into cyberspace." For anyone thinking
about building a website. |

I have seen my share of horrible
websites. So I immediately started www.firsttimevisitor.com
a website evaluation service to help those who have designed a website
on their own, and along the way have lost their objectivity. I again
found a faster, and more efficient way to deliver my evaluation, and
in some cases saved my clients 100s of dollars. I also composed a
special report of the 30 most common mistakes people make on their
website, and a listing of great resources. Just to prove you can't
proof your own material, SEE
HOW THIS SITE LOOKED until a first time visitor named STACY
pointed out some typos to me. |

|
Along the way I've created www.stageclothes.net,
I've networked deals with www.sonicbids.com
and k-amp, and I continue to watch the Internet (my day job is tech
support), for new opportunities to promote music, and websites on
the Internet. In November "The School
of Podcasting" took my passion for teaching and the Internet
and resulted in 300+ resources and hours of audio and video tutorials. |

A funny look at relationships, marriage,
divorce, love, sex, life, dating advice, and the weird thoughts that
pop into Dave\s head when he is sleep deprived. Never longer
than 15 minutes, and guaranteed to make you laugh, cry, think, or
groan. Life is too important to be taken seriously
